America's Finest City keeps its government on camera through CityTV San Diego, the municipal channel of the City of San Diego, California. Broadcasting 24 hours a day, the station covers the public meetings that shape the region, and residents who prefer to watch TV online can open the free live stream on the city's website.

San Diego, founded in 1769 as the site of California's first Spanish mission, is now the nation's eighth-largest city, and CityTV exists to keep its 1.4 million residents connected to city hall. The channel airs live gavel-to-gavel coverage of San Diego City Council sessions, council committee hearings and board meetings, carried on Cox, Spectrum and AT&T U-verse systems across the county and streamed free for everyone else.

Council Coverage and Community Programming

The CityTV schedule revolves around the council chamber downtown, where meetings convene on Mondays and Tuesdays, but the rotation reaches far beyond votes and ordinances. City-produced features spotlight neighborhood libraries, park projects and public safety initiatives - recent coverage included the Logan Heights Library's commemorative Lowrider stamp unveiling with the U.S. Postal Service. Between meetings, viewers find public service announcements, budget explainers, mayoral addresses and event recaps that turn live television into a civic front row seat.

Free Access on Cable and the Web

The CityTV San Diego live stream plays on the city's official CityTV page alongside an on-demand archive, so cord-cutters get the same access cable subscribers enjoy - no login or fee required.

For San Diegans who want to see their government at work, this channel is the open door. Start live streaming and stay engaged with your city through dependable TV online.
