Watch online live stream Rai Movie

Rai Movie is the Italian television channel of Rai dedicated entirely to cinema, broadcasting free-to-air on digital terrestrial channel 24 and on the Tivusat satellite platform. For film lovers who watch TV online, it is the closest thing the public network has to a round-the-clock movie theatre.

The channel was launched in 2003 as RaiSat Cinema World, rebadged RaiSat Cinema in 2006 and took its current name on 18 May 2010. Its ties to the big screen run deep: it has been an official media partner of the Venice Film Festival since 2003 and of the Rome Film Festival since 2007, bringing red carpets, press conferences and premieres straight into Italian living rooms.

Cinema From Dawn to Late Night

The daily grid is built around feature films, from beloved classics of Italian cinema to international productions, arranged in themed cycles, retrospectives and genre evenings. Between screenings the channel airs interviews with directors and actors, backstage features and documentaries about the craft of filmmaking, so the passion for the seventh art continues even between movies.

Festival Season on Screen

When the Venice and Rome film festivals open their doors, Rai Movie turns into a live companion to the events, following screenings, juries and award ceremonies. Specials dedicated to great masters of Italian direction and portraits of celebrated actors fill the quieter weeks, keeping live television rich with cinema history all year round.

Rai Movie live streaming makes the full programme available to cord-cutters and Italians abroad: an evening of free cinema, a festival premiere or a late-night classic is never more than a click away.
