9XM is an Indian Hindi free-to-air music TV channel based in Mumbai, owned by 9X Media, and a fixture for Bollywood fans who watch TV online and on cable alike. Built entirely around Hindi-language music videos, the channel plays everything from the latest film hits to evergreen classics without chatty hosts interrupting the flow.

The channel launched in 2007 and quickly carved out its own identity with a bold "Haq Se" attitude, trading celebrity anchors for humor and animation. 9XM reached international audiences in 2008 through Sky in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and today it holds a prominent slot on DD Free Dish, India's free satellite platform, keeping its mix of songs within reach of millions of households.

Mumbai's Nonstop Bollywood Beat

Programming on 9XM revolves around back-to-back Hindi music videos arranged in themed blocks: fresh chart-toppers from new film releases, retro melodies from earlier decades, romantic ballads and dance numbers. Countdowns and festival specials rotate through the schedule, so the daily lineup always reflects what is happening in Bollywood and on the Indian music scene.

Animated Troublemakers Between the Tracks

Between the songs, short comedy sketches star the channel's trademark cartoon characters. Bade and Chhote trade rapid-fire jokes in a street-corner setting, while Bheegi Billi, a scheming cat forever chasing a new plan, has become one of the most recognizable mascots on Indian live television. These segments give the channel a personality that pure playlist stations lack.

For viewers beyond India, 9XM live streaming keeps the same round-the-clock flow of songs, countdowns and animated humor available anywhere, turning any screen into a direct line to Bollywood's soundtrack.
