Güney TV is a local television channel broadcasting from Tarsus, a historic city in Mersin province on Turkey's Mediterranean coast. Named after the Turkish word for "south", the station speaks for the Çukurova lowlands and invites viewers who watch live TV to follow daily life in one of the country's most fertile regions.

The channel grew out of Tarsus's long tradition of local radio and print journalism, giving the city its own screen at a time when national networks rarely looked beyond the big metros. Its newsroom keeps an eye on the district municipality, the farming calendar, market prices and the small businesses that line the streets of this ancient city once known as the birthplace of Saint Paul.

From the Çukurova Plain to Your Screen

Morning hours open with headlines and weather for the fields, midday brings studio conversations with local officials, craftsmen and teachers, and evenings belong to the main news bulletin. The grid also leaves room for documentary pieces on the layered history of Tarsus, from Roman roads to Ottoman-era bazaars, alongside agriculture reports that matter to the region's cotton and citrus growers.

Bulletins and Neighborhood Stories

The flagship Ana Haber bulletin sums up the day's events across Tarsus and the surrounding villages, while weekend slots turn to local sports, school events and cultural festivals. Audiences of online television beyond the region rely on these editions to stay in touch with home.

Güney TV live stream keeps the voice of the South within reach of anyone far from Tarsus, so family members working in other cities never lose sight of their hometown's streets, fields and celebrations.
