Watch online live stream Télé Tchad

Télé Tchad is the national public television channel of Chad, broadcasting from N'Djamena as the television arm of the Office National des Médias Audiovisuels. For viewers across Central Africa who watch TV online, it is the country's principal window on politics, culture and everyday life, airing in both French and Arabic.

Television arrived late in Chad. The station signed on in December 1987, when the medium was still a novelty beyond the capital, and for years it grew alongside its sister radio service. Coverage gradually spread from N'Djamena to regional towns, and later to satellite and digital platforms that carry the signal across the Sahel and out to the Chadian diaspora.

On Air in French and Arabic

The daily grid opens with morning magazines and religious reflection before the flagship Journal Télévisé sets the national agenda each evening in both of the country's official languages. Around it sit parliamentary debates, reports on farming and public health, cultural magazines and extensive coverage of festivals, independence ceremonies and presidential addresses that draw the whole nation to the screen.

News, Sport and Community Life

Weekend airtime brings football highlights and features on Chadian music and cinema, while documentary slots travel far beyond the capital, from the shores of Lake Chad to the Tibesti mountains. It is a lineup shaped by public service rather than ratings, keeping live television close to the concerns of ordinary households.

Télé Tchad live streaming now carries that mission far beyond transmitter range: anyone with an internet connection can follow the national conversation as it unfolds, wherever in the world they happen to be.
