Watch online live stream GTV

GTV is the national television channel of Ghana, run by the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation from Accra and received in homes across the country. As the flagship service of the state broadcaster, it carries a general-interest mix of news, education and entertainment, and a growing share of its audience now prefers to watch TV online rather than over the air.

Television came to Ghana in 1965, when GTV signed on as the small-screen arm of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, a public institution whose radio roots reach back another decade. From a single studio serving the capital it expanded into a nationwide network, and it still ranks as the country's oldest television service.

On Air From Dawn to Late Night

The weekday rhythm starts early with the Breakfast Show, a magazine format that blends guest interviews, lifestyle segments and conversation about the day's talking points. Around it the lineup moves through news bulletins such as the regular Headlines updates, educational slots and cultural features celebrating Ghanaian cooking, music and tradition.

Accountability and National Moments

Public affairs hold a special place in the schedule: parliamentary sittings go out live, and formats like the Government Accountability Series put officials in front of the cameras to answer for policy and spending. Big state occasions - presidential addresses, national celebrations, major sporting events - are carried as they unfold, which keeps the channel a habit for followers of live television.

For viewers in Accra, Kumasi, Tamale or the diaspora, GTV live streaming keeps the national conversation close at hand, bringing Ghana's stories, debates and ceremonies to any screen, day and night.
