Trece is a Spanish free-to-air television channel owned by the Spanish Episcopal Conference, the assembly of Spain's Catholic bishops, and operated in partnership with the COPE radio network. Broadcasting from Madrid since 2010, it offers general entertainment with a values-driven editorial line, and viewers outside Spain can watch TV online to follow its schedule.

The channel grew out of a small religious broadcaster into a national network carried on digital terrestrial television across Spain. Its Catholic identity shapes the schedule, but much of the lineup is mainstream talk, news and classic series aimed at a broad family audience.

Spanish Television with a Mission

The signature program is El Cascabel, the combative evening talk show that debates politics and current affairs from a perspective rare on Spanish television. Daily Mass and the Rosary air as fixed points of the schedule, while live television coverage of major Church events - papal trips, Easter processions, beatifications - remains a specialty few competitors attempt.

El Cascabel and Daily Faith

Around the flagship shows, Trece fills the grid with news bulletins, classic Spanish and American films, telenovelas and documentaries on history and religion. Weekend programming leans into cinema and family series, and the COPE partnership supplies radio personalities who cross over to television.

A Trece live stream on the channel's website carries the full schedule to Spain's regions and to Spanish speakers abroad, free of charge. For its loyal audience, Trece is an alternative voice in a crowded media market.
