UN Web TV Watch live

Watch online live stream UN Web TV

UN Web TV is the official streaming service of the United Nations, carrying the organization's meetings, press conferences and events live from headquarters in New York and from UN offices around the world. Part of the UN Department of Global Communications, it opens diplomacy to anyone who wants to watch live TV coverage of world affairs.

The service grew out of decades of UN television production and now runs multiple simultaneous channels during busy periods, when overlapping meetings at headquarters all demand live coverage. Everything streams free, without registration, in the UN's six official languages where interpretation is provided.

Diplomacy in Public View

The core of the schedule is live coverage of the General Assembly and the Security Council, where crises from ceasefire votes to humanitarian emergencies play out in real time. The Human Rights Council in Geneva, ECOSOC sessions and the Secretary-General's press encounters all stream live, giving online television viewers the same access as the press corps in the building.

Summits, Briefings and Global Observances

Beyond the meeting rooms, UN Web TV carries major summits, treaty signings, the annual General Debate each September and observances such as International Women's Day and World Environment Day. Daily press briefings from the Secretary-General's spokesperson provide a running account of the organization's work.

A UN Web TV live stream is available on the organization's website around the clock, with an on-demand archive of past sessions. For students, journalists and citizens, it is the most direct window into multilateral diplomacy.
