La Voz de Maria - The Voice of Mary - is the Catholic television channel broadcasting from Guayaquil, Ecuador, whose motto is "the channel that leads to Christ", streaming its prayerful signal around the clock via online TV.
The ministry first began on 2 February 2001, when Radio La Voz de Maria 88.1 FM was inaugurated with a solemn Eucharist in Guayaquil's cathedral. Run by the non-profit Fundacion La Voz de Maria with the blessing of the Archdiocese, it grew from a single radio station into a 24-hour television channel carried on the web and mobile apps.
A Channel That Leads to Christ
The daily schedule is built around prayer: the daily Rosary, broadcasts of the Holy Mass from its chapel, Eucharistic adoration and special Marian devotions, joined by catechesis, family and youth programs, interviews and Catholic music. Major feasts, Holy Week and processions from Guayaquil's churches go out as live television.
Sustained by Providence Alone
La Voz de Maria takes no commercial advertising: the work is sustained entirely by donations and by dozens of volunteers who host its many programs. Its faithful audience now stretches from Guayas province to Ecuadorians and Catholics across the Americas and Spain.
A La Voz de Maria live stream offers prayer, Mass and Christian formation to Catholic homes day and night, wherever they are.
