Watch online live stream NASA TV

Rocket launches, spacewalks and live views of Earth from orbit - NASA TV has brought space into living rooms for decades, and today its successor NASA+ keeps the tradition alive online. Anyone who wants to watch TV online can open the free stream and ride along with the mission in real time.

The channel traces its roots to the 1980s, when NASA began distributing programming as NASA Select; it became NASA TV in 2003, beaming shuttle missions and station activity to cable systems nationwide. In November 2023 the agency launched NASA+, a free streaming service with no subscription, and on August 28, 2024 the classic linear channel signed off as NASA+ took over. The rebrand changed the delivery, not the mission: space exploration, live and unfiltered.

Launches, Spacewalks and Mission Control Live

The NASA+ schedule revolves around real events. Rocket launches from Kennedy Space Center carry countdown commentary and onboard cameras, spacewalks from the International Space Station stream for hours with audio from mission control in Houston, and dockings and undockings of Crew Dragon vehicles - like the recent Crew-12 departure - air in full. Between live events, the rotation fills with documentaries on the Apollo era, explainers on the James Webb Space Telescope and Artemis moon program, plus educational series for students and teachers.

Free on Every Screen

The NASA+ live stream plays free on the agency's official NASA+ platform, its mobile apps and the NASA YouTube channel, all ad-free and open worldwide.

For anyone who has ever looked up and wondered, this is front-row seating. Start live streaming and experience exploration through remarkable TV online.
