Cielo TV is an Italian free-to-air entertainment channel owned by Sky Italia, on air on channel 26 of digital terrestrial television since December 2009. Conceived as the group's open window on the national market, it speaks to everyone who likes to watch TV online or through an ordinary antenna - no subscription required. Its very name, the Italian word for "sky", betrays the family it comes from.

The station works as a free showcase for productions born on Sky's pay platforms, blended with acquired comedies, feature films and factual titles. This formula has made it one of the most-watched free networks in the country, with evening premieres that regularly challenge the old generalist giants.

Sky Originals Aired Free for Everyone

The weekly grid revolves around big entertainment franchises. Music fans follow the auditions and live finals of X Factor, while adventure lovers cross Asia with Pechino Express, the celebrity race conducted by Costantino della Gherardesca. Daytime and late-night slots lean on sitcom reruns such as Friends, whose six New Yorkers never stay away from the schedule for long.

From Action Marathons to Real-Life Documentaries

Cinema has a proud place too: the cycle Gli Eroi dell'Azione celebrates the tough-guy films of Steven Seagal, and Cult & Pulp rescues irreverent genre pictures from oblivion. Factual programming completes the offer, from the border-control docusoap Airport Security Madrid to the wild landscapes of America's National Parks - a reminder of how varied live television can be on a single channel.

Thanks to the simulcast on its official portal, Cielo TV live streaming keeps every premiere, movie and talent show within reach on any screen, letting the audience follow the evening's appointment from wherever they happen to be.
