TRT EBA is a Turkish educational television channel run jointly by the national broadcaster TRT and the Ministry of National Education. Created to carry school lessons into every home, it has become a steady companion for students and parents who follow online TV alongside the classroom.
The channel began with a test broadcast on 20 March 2020 and went to regular programming on 23 March 2020, when school closures made remote lessons urgent. It first aired as three separate feeds - EBA TV Ilkokul for primary pupils, Ortaokul for middle school and Lise for high school - on the frequency previously used by TRT Okul. On 10 January 2024 the three services merged into a single channel under the name TRT EBA.
Classroom Lessons on the Air
The broadcast day is built like a school timetable. Morning blocks carry primary school lessons, followed by middle-grade subjects and, later, high school courses that support exam preparation. Curriculum-aligned material is recorded by experienced teachers, and the schedule repeats key topics so students who watch television online can revise at their own hour.
From Primary Basics to Exam Preparation
Mathematics, Turkish, science, social studies and foreign languages form the core of the lineup, supported by guidance segments and short recaps. The single-channel format means the grid shifts through age groups across the day, with revision blocks filling evening airtime during exam season.
TRT EBA live streaming extends the project beyond the TV set: lessons stay available on connected devices, so learning continues whether the student is at home, on the move or catching up after school.
