Telejato is the community television channel of Partinico, in the province of Palermo in western Sicily, run by the Marconi cultural association and known far beyond the island for its anti-mafia reporting - followed as free online TV by viewers across Italy.
Born as a small local voice more than a quarter of a century ago, it became famous throughout Italy for refusing to stay silent about Cosa Nostra in a territory where silence had long been the rule - a stubbornness that earned it threats, attacks and, in the end, national respect.
The Anti-Mafia Voice of Partinico and Beyond
The broadcast day is built on local news editions covering Partinico and the surrounding towns of the Palermo hinterland, framed by talk shows and community programming. Live TV streaming on the official site carries the very same signal free of charge, around the clock.
A Community Channel With a History
Under Pino Maniaci's long direction the channel became a genuine case study in Italian journalism: a tiny provincial station that took on the mafia and simply kept broadcasting. Alongside the investigations sit local sport, culture and the everyday life of the province.
Telejato live streaming keeps that small, courageous voice on air - news, talk and Sicilian life from Partinico, free to watch every day of the week, on any screen, at home or abroad.
