WANE 15 is the CBS affiliate for Fort Wayne, Indiana, and the news, weather and sports outlet for the northeastern corner of the state. Owned by Nexstar Media Group and broadcasting from West State Boulevard, the station first went to air in 1954 under the call letters WINT and became WANE-TV two years later, taking the name of the radio station it was co-owned with. Locals have pronounced it Wayne ever since.

Coverage You Can Count On, Morning to Late Night

Roughly twenty-four hours of locally produced news go out every week, about four hours each weekday and two on weekend days. Bulletins run through the weekday morning and evening hours, with the late broadcast following network prime time - an arrangement that keeps live television on the screen through most of the waking day. The CBS schedule of dramas, comedies and daytime shows sits between them, while extra subchannels carry reruns, films and classic series, so the timetable stretches well past the local reports.

Friday Night Sport and the Neighbourhood Strand

Two strands give the grid its local colour. Inside the Zone is the weekly high school football highlight show that wraps up each round of the season with game footage and coaching interviews, and Living Local 15 steps away from the news desk to profile people, festivals and small businesses across the surrounding counties. Weather runs as a constant thread of forecasts, closings and storm coverage, and the archive of clips stays online for anyone who likes to watch TV online between bulletins.

WANE 15 live streaming puts all of that on phones, tablets and laptops, which is how a growing share of the audience now follows the station. A winter storm warning, a playoff run or a city hall story travels with the viewer, and the signal arrives without an antenna, a cable box or a subscription of any kind.
