Shant TV is one of Armenia's leading national broadcasters, a generalist channel that mixes news, talk shows and homegrown drama. Founded in 1994 in Gyumri, the country's second city, it grew from a local station into a network that Armenian families now also follow when they watch live TV.

The company launched at a difficult moment, only a few years after the devastating 1988 earthquake, when Gyumri still lacked basic conditions for recovery. Broadcasting expanded year by year: the channel extended its reach across Armenia, established its headquarters in Yerevan and built a dedicated news service covering national and international events.

From Morning Talk to Evening Drama

The broadcast day opens with Aravot Shantum, a morning magazine of conversation, music and practical advice. Daytime hours carry discussion formats such as Women's Club and Ashkharhi Hayer, which turns toward Armenian communities abroad, while news editions from the channel's own newsroom punctuate the schedule.

Signature Shows and Homegrown Series

Prime time belongs to Armenian-produced serials: titles like Eleni Oragir and Bacahaytvac Gortser have drawn loyal audiences with family sagas and detective plots. Weekend airtime adds comedy, documentaries and feature films, so the programming balances information with relaxation. TV streaming extends that lineup to the diaspora on every continent.

Shant TV live streaming keeps viewers in Yerevan, Los Angeles and Moscow on the same wavelength, offering a familiar Armenian mix of news, conversation and evening drama wherever the signal is needed.
