América TV is one of Argentina's national broadcast channels, licensed to La Plata and produced from studios in Buenos Aires. Part of Grupo América, the station has built its identity around immediacy, summed up in the slogan "La vida en vivo" - life, live. Its blend of news, entertainment and talk reaches households across the country and, through live television on digital platforms, far beyond it.

The signal first went on air in 1966 as Canal 2 of La Plata. Renamed América in the early 1990s, the station passed through several owners before settling under Grupo América, which shaped it into one of the country's five national networks. Decades on, the grid still runs from morning to midnight with barely a pause.

Prime Time the Argentine Way

Mornings open with news and magazine formats, afternoons lean on show-business talk, and the evening hours belong to big entertainment productions. Sports features, series and film screenings fill the weekends, and for those following via live TV streaming the same grid runs online without interruption. News bulletins interrupt the entertainment whenever events demand it, keeping the channel's promise of staying live when it matters.

The Panel Shows Everyone Talks About

The loudest corner of the lineup belongs to LAM, the show-business panel led by Ángel de Brito, whose nightly revelations set the next day's celebrity agenda. Comer para creer turns the weekend into a food road trip across the provinces, while Mauro Szeta Presenta brings long-form journalism and true-crime stories to the screen.

From breaking headlines at dawn to panel drama after dark, the cameras rarely stop rolling in the Buenos Aires studios. América TV live streaming puts the full broadcast a click away, open to anyone who wants a window into Argentine television from wherever they are.
