TV Martí is a Spanish-language television service broadcast from Miami, Florida, to audiences in Cuba, carrying uncensored reporting that island viewers cannot find on state-controlled channels. Run by the Office of Cuba Broadcasting, it has also become a fixture for Cubans abroad and anyone who prefers to watch TV online instead of jammed over-the-air signals.

The channel signed on in March 1990, named after Cuban independence hero José Martí, and joined its older sibling Radio Martí, on the air since 1985. Because Havana has tried to block the signal from the very first transmission, the service moved early to satellite and internet delivery, building a digital newsroom that now covers Cuban affairs, US-Cuba relations and events across Latin America around the clock.

From the Morning Magazine to the Midday Headlines

The daily grid opens with news blocks in the early hours, followed by Martí Noticias AM, a two-hour morning magazine mixing interviews with politics, economy and general interest stories. Mid-morning brings El futuro es ya, where analysts, experts and activists examine the developments shaping Cuban reality, and the midday Noticiero de Martí Noticias wraps the most important headlines from Cuba and the world into a compact summary.

Journalists Behind the Desk

A signature fixture of the lineup is Las noticias como son, an in-depth look at world affairs hosted by journalists Amado Gil and José Luis Ramos together with special guests. Reports, interviews and live television analysis fill the remaining slots, keeping the focus on verifiable information for an audience that looks for facts without censorship.

For viewers on the island and across the diaspora, TV Martí live streaming remains the most direct window to independent journalism about Cuba, carrying newscasts, talk segments and documentaries to phones and computers wherever the signal can reach.
