DSTV - Dunaujvaros Televizio - is the local television station of Dunaujvaros, the industrial city on the Danube in central Hungary. It was founded in 2005 by local entrepreneur Richard Varga, after political decisions had left the city without its own broadcaster - this in a place that had hosted one of the country's very first local stations two decades earlier, so audiences already knew the habit of turning to their own channel when they watch live TV.

Rebuilding a city station from scratch meant starting small: a modest studio, a loyal crew and a promise that Dunaujvaros would see itself on screen again. Over the years that promise has grown into a daily service followed well beyond the city limits by former residents and families abroad.

Keeping Dunaujvaros in the Picture

The lineup revolves around local news bulletins covering council decisions, factory life, schools and city events, supported by documentary features about the region's past and present. Between original productions the schedule carries films, music blocks and reruns, filling the day from morning to late evening.

Newsroom Talk and Weekend Sport

Conversation programmes bring studio interviews with mayors, teachers, club officials and everyday residents, while sports coverage follows the city's proud water polo tradition and the teams that carry its name - community television that has found a second home in online television.

DSTV live streaming keeps Dunaujvaros connected wherever its people have scattered: the same hometown signal, the same familiar faces, available around the clock.
