Belarus 1 is the flagship television channel of Belarus, operated by the National State Television and Radio Company in Minsk and followed across the republic by viewers who watch TV online. The country's oldest and most influential broadcaster, it sets the national news agenda and reaches the biggest audience of any station in the country.

The channel's history goes back to 1 January 1956, when the first signal left the Minsk television center. Nearly seven decades on, Belarus 1 still anchors the national schedule: bulletins every few hours, prime-time films and series, weekend entertainment marathons and live coverage of major state events. Most broadcasts are in Russian, with the weather and several cultural slots in Belarusian.

What the Broadcast Day Looks Like

News First, From Morning to Prime Time

Mornings belong to Good Morning, Belarus!, a long-running breakfast block of headlines, studio guests and practical features. The evening flagship is Panorama, the daily current-affairs program that sums up the day for the whole country, while Zone X follows investigations, trials and criminal cases in a popular crime-chronicle format. Hourly bulletins keep the headlines moving in between, so live television never runs short of fresh reports from the regions.

Around the news core, the schedule makes room for Belarusian-made documentaries, talk shows, rural features, religious broadcasts and big sports events, from domestic football to international hockey, while weekend afternoons bring family films and music shows to a wider audience.

Belarus 1 live streaming puts the whole national channel within reach free of charge through the official web player, on any modern device. For the diaspora and for travelers, free online television from Minsk is a practical way to stay connected to the country's news and culture, around the clock and without a cable subscription.
