TRT Çocuk: the state children's channel for ages 3 to 14

TRT Çocuk is a Turkish children's television channel owned by the public broadcaster TRT. It was founded on 24 October 2008 and has broadcast twenty-four hours a day since 2015. From the start it has been an educational channel, designed for viewers aged roughly three to fourteen, and it has never carried advertising, which sets it apart from most channels of its kind.

The schedule combines educational content with entertainment that teaches important values such as respect for others and care for the environment. Programmes include animal and nature documentaries, cooking classes, quizzes and challenges in which young viewers can take part. The channel moved to HD in 2017, so families can watch live TV with clear picture quality.

Alongside its core lineup, the channel gives young viewers a chance to learn about the world around them, from local traditions and national heritage to science experiments and simple everyday skills. Careful editing keeps each programme appropriate for its age group, and presenters talk to children in a friendly, encouraging way, which is why TRT Çocuk is trusted by many parents as a safe choice for daily viewing.
