Adjara TV is the public television broadcaster of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, a coastal region in southwestern Georgia with its administrative heart in Batumi. Part of the Adjara TV and Radio Public Broadcaster, it serves viewers who watch TV online alongside a traditional over-the-air audience, carrying a distinctly regional voice within the Georgian media landscape.

The station traces its roots to 1994, when television broadcasting in the autonomous republic was reorganized into an independent service. A decade later it gained public broadcaster status, funded to remain free from political, religious and commercial pressure. From its Batumi studios the channel covers life across the region, from the Black Sea coastline to the mountain communities of Khulo and Shuakhevi.

What Airs on Batumi's Public Broadcaster

The daily lineup mixes regional journalism with culture and entertainment. News bulletins anchor the schedule, reporting on municipal affairs, local business and events across the autonomous republic. Between them the grid carries talk shows with Georgian guests, documentary features about Adjarian history and traditions, music programs and coverage of public celebrations such as Batumi's summer festivals.

Regional Stories and Documentary Features

Among the channel's best known productions is the documentary series One Day in a Village, which spends a full day with families in remote Adjarian settlements, showing their crafts, cuisine and daily routines. Evening hours often bring live talk shows and cultural magazine programs that keep live television relevant for younger audiences.

Adjara TV live streaming makes this regional programming available far beyond the autonomous republic, letting the Adjarian diaspora and anyone curious about Georgia follow the broadcast around the clock. The channel remains the main audiovisual chronicle of the region it serves.
